31 May 09 LAST DAY OF MAY!!!

....less than 6 weeks to go!!! and my duty day thoroughly SUCKED!!!! I did FINALLY get some pics uploaded to Facebook from Qatar,new "camer" pics and some pics from last 4th of July...it is still really slooooowww on Facebook because there are like 8 gazillion people online!!!! I am downloading some new pics Matt sent me so I will share those tonight :) well I am super tired and at least I have the day off tomorrow :)

30 May 09 HM1 Miller

so it is official as of 11 am today!!!! I ran into HMC Angevine, a good friend from Oak Harbor and it was great to get my picture taken with him! It was also nice to hear "HM1 Angela H Miller" when they called my name to receive my frocking letter!!! It was a long day and I am glad to be back in my own bed :) I also got to talk to matt and the kids today, even Ben talked to me for a few minutes...Abby wants matt to go get her some batteries for her "camer" so she can take some more pictures...so needless to say my new "camer" came int he mail yesterday and matt has played with it just a little...says he will probably put it back in the box until I get home!!! so I have quite a few pictures today fromt eh frcoking ceremony and some new pics from the new "camer" and of the new "camer"....

29 May 09 Frocking Tomorrow

so I madeit down to Aj and am spending the night...instead of being up at o dark thrity to come down here tomorrow for our frocking ceremony...that is what the military does when we all make the next rank...guess it is going ot be a big ordeal so I will hopefully have some pics to share afterwards tomorrow...we even have a practice run...so should be interesting...Matt is still awaiting my new camera and lens to come in the mail, hopefully this weekend and I hope to have some photos to share!!!! so I don't have a picture today, but another cute LO I did....

Summer Plans....

1. to come home safe and sound in July
2. to get a tan
3. to attend Tim and Lauren's wedding in July
4. to take a trip to Vegas with just Matt
5. take the kids to the beach after Vegas
6. keep up the tan :)
7. get the kids a little kiddie pool to play in when mom has some time off
8. hopefully have some extra money left over to get the kids another trampoline with a net...

28 May 09 Happy Birthday

to HM3 Sloane's little boy :) 9 lbs and 15 oz :) I so wish he could be home to be with them instead of on this deployment...I can't wait for him to share some pics...

I think I pulled something in my inner thigh and it really really hurts{probably draggin my seabag coming back from Qatar} so I had to see Beth and she gave me some muscle relaxers to hopefully help it out ....

decided on the black handkerchief style dress, now just have to find some cute shoes to go with it :)

finally got to talk to the kids again, so good to hear everyone's voices and see them :)

no picture today, but a couple of digi pages I did :)

21 May 09 FOBTY SSD

So the great things that happened in May:
1. I went on R&R to Qatar
2. Matt ordered my NEW CAMERA and LENS!!!
3. Matt ordered our Zummanity tickets for Vegas
4. I lost a little more weight and started exercising more with Beth
5. Got a GREAT Vera Bradley bag from a friend!!!
6. Rode a jet ski for the 1st time
7. I got another month behind me on my deplyment and am 1 month closer to coming home!

27 May 09 Camp VA

so I am back at Camp VA and now counting the days until I go home!!! I have decided that on June 1st, I am going to start packing up my stuff and sending it home!!! I a=have been web searching for a dress for Tim and Lauren's wedding and still haven't decided which one I might buy!!! I think I narrowed it down to a couple that I like in my price range :)



by the time we checked our flight last night until I actually got a shower back at Camp VA, I had been up for over 24 hours with a few cat naps here and there between traveling...I am sure it will take me a few days to catch up on my sleep and get back into a routine, but I am glad to be back and count the days to going home....here are a few more pics from our last night in Qatar :)

26 May 09 RELAXATION

was what today was all about :) we slept in a little, ate lunch and then went and just chilled at the pool :)I have avoided Dairy Queen since I got here, but sine today will probably be my last day, I had a hot fudge sundae....well, I will probably be back in Camp VA sometime in the next 24 hours :) and I am so glad I took full advantage of hanging out with some friends!!! here are some random pics from my trip to Qatar!

25 May 09 Water Sports and 118 Degrees

so we did the water sports tour today and it was a TOTAL blast!!!! I went with Sheena and Jessica and we each got to ride jet skis and did the float that they pulled behind the boat...and even though I put the sunscreen Marylee sent me {SPF 25} on TWICE, I still managed to get quite a bit of sun....we also found out from our tour guide that it was 118 degrees today and the suckiest part is we have NO cold water in our showers so it just makes it even worse...but other than that, it has been a great little mini vacation...we decided to try out the Chili's restaurant on base and it was actually very good...nice to have some REAL food other than the food the Army is feeding us :).. right now I am just wishing the day to go home would get here soon...miss Matt and the Kids and I haven't talked to them since last Wed morning....here are a few pics from the tour and one of us at Chili's :)

24 May 09 Doha Cruise & Pedicure

so I was in MUCH need of a pedicure and went to the salon and got a package maicure/pedicure/facial/30 minute massage for $48 :) and OH MY GOSH!!!! I think I am hooked on getting massages now {only if we can afford them:)}....and luckily I brought my own nail polish {hot pink} so I can touch it up if it gets chipped!!! last pedicure I had was in Feb {those boots are just killing my feet}....

23 May 09 SOUQS Tour

so we went to the Gold and Old SOUQS today...basically it is where you buy gold and pearls at a really good price and the old SOUQS is pretty much like an open air market...veyr neat to walk around and see things...but I am super tired....went to the gym today and forgot my workout paper, so I just did everything :) and I didn;t even go tto Dairy Queen, which happens to be INSIDE the GYM!!!!! How wrong is that!!!! I ran into 2 friends from when we first mobilized back in Dec, Sheena and Jessica...good to see them, we had a beer together....right now I am trying to all Matt and the kids on Skype...

22 May 09 Inland Sea Picnic

was so much fun today...we went sand dunning it on a 4 wheel drive and had a BLAST...we made it to a little camp and got to swim in the gulf and have some great BBQ...and YES I FINALLY made it to get my 3 alcoholic beverages!!!! Here are a few photos to share :) I did get my right leg scrapped up pretty bad by getting up on the little floating platform, but it was ALOT of fun!!!!

21 May 09 Qatar

...We did FINALLY make it in and got settlerd into our little open bay room and I have a top rack...YIPPEE...but it's all good :) already signed up for a trip tomorrow can't wait, gonna be fun!!!! Sand dunes and inland sea picnic :) the whole flying thing totally SUCKED...we were in the terminal at 1330 and by the time we got here and got settled it was 0100 am on the 22nd!~~~ but glad to finally be here, and I am STILL in UNIFORM~~~~ we missed out on a beer by 1 minute :( oh well...gonna have some tomorrow :) came with a really good group of people, so think it is gonna be alot of fun~and I am trying to get into my email and it will not let me respond to ANYBODY, so if you haven't gotten an email, it is because it is not coopertating with me at the moment....hopefully when I have my laptop and my own access, I will be able to ge through :) take care and will share pics as soon as I can :)

20 May 09 HM1...

is the word of the day!!! I made E-6...found out from the command today when I called and spoke with the master chief!!!!! I don't have a picture today because I am not on my computer :) Other than that, the rest of the day was pretty much a blur!!!! I hope to be sharing some R&R pictures soon...it has been good to catch up with some old friends I made during our initial training :) nite all!

19 May 09 ...Another Duty day Gone

and hopefully I will not have too many more after this :)I have no more duties, as it stands, until after June 1st :) just means I am closer to coming home :) talked with the kids a little bit this morning, Peyton was more interested in watching cartoons :) we did a new spinnig routin, ws BRUTAL, Beth kicked our ASSES!!!! but I did get measured and lost a few inches :) not enough to make me completley happy but enough to know I am well on my way and to keep on trucking!!! so if you don't hear from me sometime in the next week or so, means I am on R&R and have no access, but I will be relaxing! so nite all...and I came across this picture and thought it was funny and decided to save it as my sreensaver :)

18 May 09 Alomst Here..

my R&R...and I can't wait...talked to the kids today afer they took a bath! they are always so cute right after they get out of the tub! Peyton decided he was ready for bed and climb on the living room table with his lion and was watching "Touille"...Ratatouille!!! So our date to come home was confirmed today by someone else from AJ...YEAH!!!!!and I guess Matt got alot of extra work done around the house {grocery shopping, lawn mowed, etc}...wel I guess why he was mowing the lawn and swam was suppose to be wathing them, this is what Peyton decided he wanted to eat!!! Like brother like sister!!!


oh and I got a quick litte package from Marylee filled with more carmael fudge brownies and you KNOW they didn't last until the end of the workday!!! The guys here totally LOVE them!!!! they were stoked!!!!

17 May 09 Quiet Day

around here....I got up to go to LSA, but we didn't have to go, so we ate breakfast and then I fell asleep until noon! I guess I better enjoy it while I can because I am sure once I get home, there will be no sleeping in! I only have few more days for R&R and will be glad to sit and have a beer and to be able to just "chill"...I worked on a couple of LO's for a Disney album...I hope to get it finished before I come home, so I can get some copies printed for the kids :) so I don;t have a picture today, but some LO's to share with you :)
and at 1130 pm it happens to be 84 degrees in Kuwait...will definetely not miss the heat!!!
