01 Dec 09 One Year Ago Today

I spent the 1st day of the next 211 days away from Mat and the kids...there was alot going on the 1st week and we could stay busy, so it wasn't too bad, but the next couple of weeks were a little harder when we had more time on our hands at night to just think about things....I know it was alot harder for Matt than it was for me, but it still sucked to be isolated and so far away from home....but we both managed and I think we gre in more ways than one! We do things more as a team now than before...i.e. I put them in the bath and he takes them out...I wash the laundry and he folds {when I can get him too!!!!}...he gets Ben up, I get Abby and Peyton up inthe mornings...and we both get up a little earlier to carpool so we can save some money...but I am glad that I got what I wanted out of the deployment...made E-6 and lost some weight and I also believe I made some lifelong friends~ it was an experience to say the least but it is one that I perfer to NOT have to do again!

we had a GREAT Thanksgiving in Oregon...it was soooo good to see everyone...Hayden was sick Friday night but finally warmed up a little later on Sat afternoon....and Abby was glad to see Taylor and Olivia...even Peyton got in on the playing! but Peyton did NOT sleep well Friday or Sat night...he just kept waking up and just couldn't get comfortable...I FINALLY had to lay down on the couch with him downstairs and after about an hour he FINALLY fell asleep...so we headed home Sunday afternoon about 230 pm....Grandpa called us and asked if any of the kids were sick because Taylor and Brady were now sick...so we THOUGHT we were int he clear...NO SUCH LUCK!!!! Abby woke up around 1 am PUCKING everywhere!!!! so I laid on the loveseat and her on the sofa and I just left a paper bag out for her and everytime she got sick I just wiped her face with a wet washcloth...and of coarse I had it coming out the other end all night, so NOOOO slep for either of us....well Matt got up and when he went to get Ben up Ben said he didn't feel good, so he stayed home too...then about 8 am Matt calls and tells me that Peyton has now puked at Stephanie's house so she is bringing him home too...I had to tell Matt that he had to come home because I didn't think I could take care of all 3 of them and myself...Abby and I slept most of the day, but Peyton puked most of the day and then FINALLY fell asleep about 6 pm in the sofa....boy was it a rough day....

I still wasn't feeling up to par today, but tried to go to work for a little while and then just had to come home and rest some more...so I FINALLY feel a little better....I am working on a new blog header, so hope to get it done sometime this week :)
